Day 1:Podcast

The podcast I chose was “The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Im3jmUJg4Cs. The reason I chose this podcast was because I have always been a huge bachelor/bachelorette fan and I’m familiar with the podcasts these 2 people have done in the past. I chose this podcast because I knew I’d be interested in it.

Ben and Ashley are both from The Bachelor/Bachelor in paradise who both have similar experiencesab528fb8da83dfee1ff49d525d4131c39229647cb02a1b97588f241395efee03cb2a3acfe2bb8df4172d6947328a88171a8b463a6d3b1d04eab3aa2ac0186939 with their love lives. I’m familiar with what they talk aboutbecause I’ve watched all of the shows with both of these individuals. I like these podcasts because they are so laid back and have normal conversations. This podcast says Season 5, Episode 8. Ben and Ashley make podcasts to talk about the experiences and new beginnings in both of their lives. The length of this podcast was an hour and 3 minutes. It’s introducing Ashley’s new love life with Jared, who was also on the bachelor. What I found very interesting about this podcast is some sound effects were included. For example, when Ashley was saying Jared is finally her boyfriend, a sound effect was included which I found cool. I also heard some laughter in the background audience during funny conversations which made me feel like this was a very natural conversation. When it comes to the term multimodality, the natural conversations make this podcast easy to listen and connect to. Maybe it’s because I’m already interested in everything they’re talking about, but I feel like the way Ashley explains the past with her new boyfriend, makes it easy for people to understand what she’s been through. In my opinion, natural podcasts are the best because it’s nothing fake and over the top. Ben actually brings up how the podcast company has grown like crazy and brings up a few statistics also, which I thought was interesting after just reading the 2017: Year of Podcast article. This podcast didn’t show the two talking, but instead had a cover photo as they talked in the background. I thought I wouldn’t be as interested in it because of that reason, but I actually was because I was able to do other things while listening to the podcast. My favorite part of the podcast was when they brought in Becca, who was the most recent Bachelorette. This podcast also included reading fan questions, which is always my favorite to listen to. I would assume they are in a studio because of the sound effects and background noise. Ben and Ashley’s podcast would definitely be for those who are interested in the reality tv shows such as The Bachelor/The Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise, such as myself. That’s why I found myself so into this podcast because I actually learned some new information that I’ve been waiting to hear.
